A brighter future for 3G lights
The UK and Europe are perceived, generally, as being ahead of the USA in green issues. But in one field, at least, the States are already well ahead of countries on this side of the Atlantic.
New, 3rd Generation LED traffic signals that consume 70% less power than existing systems now account for 95% of signals in the USA – just 5 years after they were introduced. In the UK, Kent is the first county to replace all their halogen signals with the TSUK 3G LED head. As well as offering lower power consumption, the robust, easily installed, lightweight signals offer high reliability and a low number of parts for easy maintenance. Backed by a 6-year warranty, the long-life signals incorporate integral lamp monitoring technology for any manufacturer's control equipment. Designed for versatility, each signal can easily be adapted to feature arrows and other regulatory signs.
