Strategic Traffic Management (STM)

This powerful software tool allows the user to:
• Gathering, correlating and processing data from diverse sources
• Sending control information to junctions and other connected equipment
• Building off line models of network operation
• Performing 'what if' impact tests on road networks based on real data and many other traffic control and network management functions.

It uses open interfaces to third party equipment to collect and store data from an ever increasing range of sources that may influence the operation of the network. Amongst these, and key to most network operations are vehicle flow and count data from junctions, and bus journey information.

Once data is received it may simply be collated and stored, however it can also be put into user defined algorithms that provide control information, either in the form of UTC plans to controllers on the street, or additional outputs to other systems.

STM may be used for
