telent acquires intelligent traffic systems group, TSEU
The first STM (Strategic Traffic Management) User Group was held with the kind permission of Leeds City Council at their Merrion Traffic Control Centre on Tuesday 6th November. It included a complete demonstration of how the City has used this STM software package and has managed to significantly improve critical junction performance.
A spokesman from the City said "this software provides high performance priority strategies which is only limited by site safety and physical constraints not software limitations". He continued "that the improvements obtained at the City's Woodpecker site had not been possible with any other tool". "STM enables a more flexible application of UTC plans".
