Warning Signs

TSEU's range of warning signs are typically applied to provide speed limit information or caution drivers about hazardous features in the road network. These highly visible signs are designed for use on all roads up to 50mph (80kph). Typically the sign is only activated when a vehicle exceeding a preset speed is detected by an ADD microwave vehicle detector or pair of loops in the neighbouring carriageway. Limiting the activation keeps power consumption low allowing these units to operate effectively from combined solar/wind sources making them independent of a mains power supply.

Signs are often deployed in isolate locations where they offer the only possible method of informing drivers of hazards.

The signs display 20/30/40/50 warnings (please enquire for other values) and a separate add on facility carries the text "Slow Down" to enhance the message. Flashing indicators at the corners of the sign assist in drawing the driver's attention to the active sign.
